Dedicated
It's a sweet little thing and it's not a baptism or a christening or anything like that; it's just recognition of the parents and the growing family and their desire to raise their children up Christians. It doesn't even require that the children become Christians - that of course is their own decision - it's just the parents saying to their village, "hey we're here! Raising kids. Thanks for supporting us."
And the church prays over us and the children and it's just a sweet thing. It made me happy today.
Brian and Valerie were there and we went out to brunch afterwards. And Miss J and her frilly socks and mary janes are just the epitome of sweet.
It was a nice day.
And an aside ... I don't think I'll ever hear Can't Stop the Feeling by Justin T without thinking about the boys and I dancing to it at the mother son dance. :) A happy memory.
