15 Months

She was 15mo on May 26.  She's been walking some but in the last few days she's walking just about every time she tries to move.  She is wobbly and falls and gets mad and just crawls.  But she is frustrated that she isn't keeping up with her brothers.  She longs to be included.

She is talking ... but fewer words if that makes sense.  It's very odd.  But I was thinking ... so lets get this right, I worried about weaning (she lived, drinks just fine now), I worried about walking (she definitely is doing that now) and I guess now it's just time for me to worry about her speech.  I found myself thinking if 15mo was too young for speech therapy, and if she's going to escape the 3rd child curse of delayed speech (she has not avoided the 3rd child delayed gross motor).

You would think - by the 3rd kid - the impulse to worry / worry / worry / worry would go away.  It does not.

At least not for me.

I do realize everyone is not blessed with the worry gene.

Anyway.  She is great.  Fussy lately.  Maybe she has a cold.  Maybe she has more molars coming in.  Maybe she's just finding her voice.  She is a diva.  It's a riot.  She handed her cup to her cousins over the weekend and they told me she handed it to them.  And I laughed.  Yeah she wants you to hold it for her while she drinks it.  And sure enough ... that's what she wanted.

She yelped to be put in the firetruck and pushed around.  Every time she turned a corner she yelped for a different toy.  They were handing her everything.  She was pleased.

She is a total, total water baby.  Loved putting her face in the water.  Loved kicking her feet.  Loved it.  I couldn't keep her out of the water.  Which was problematic on Monday as I didn't intend to get in the pool.  But eventually D made the bold choice to jump in with a pool noodle without his floats so in I ended up having to go.  Sister was pleased.  I wouldn't doubt she dared D to do it.

This was after the pool on Monday.  She was wiped out and fussy.  So we sat outside and took selfies, which is always guaranteed to calm her down.  DIVA.

She is a fun one.  Loves to wrestle and tackle people but also loves shoes, sunglasses and nail polish. Mostly, she loves balls and throwing balls and soccer balls.  She's fun.
