Today is one of those days where the wine was earned.  I have a lot of those.  Usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  Those coincide with the travel schedule.

Without boring you with the details of our scheduling, it's just hard to be the only parent that rushes kids between school, doctors appointments, performances, pick-ups, dinner, snacks and then also late night soccer games.

7pm is bedtime around here.  Has been for many moons.  We're in pajamas, we're reading books.  Heck some nights it's lights out.  Tonight the game started at 7.  This is so far outside my comfort zone you have to dial a special number before you dial to get the right country.  I don't do activities at 7pm.

But my almost seven-year-old ... well he's almost seven.  And things are different when you are in first grade.

I'm exhausted.  My house is not picked up and the dishes are still in the sink.  The dish washer needs to be unloaded and the laundry needs to be moved.  The dog needs to be fed (I actually did this one already but she hasn't eaten it).  But all I have energy for is this half hearted post of the pretty sunset and watching Trouble with the Curve and a glass of pinot.

And the thought that will haunt my nightmares is this ...

This is only one kid in organized sports.  One.

Pray for me.

*Holds up glass of cabernet, clinks against yours.* Seriously, I see people with five kids all doing their own separate things, and I just do not understand. Like, it's not even that I don't understand why they would want to do that, I don't understand *physically* how all of the bodies get to be where they need to be with required equipment in tow. Knox's soccer coach moved practice the other day (because of rain, which is totally reasonable) and I had to count to ten.
