My sister had a baby today. None of the above pictured babies. Obviously those are all mine.
It brings all the emotions. My baby sister having babies.
I'm never doing that again. Not ever. Done. Finite. Fin. This is our family. We are complete. And I don't feel the longing in the same way I did after D; but there is nostalgia. I can not believe my babies are growing so fast.
And I don't want to slow down or stop time. I abhor that saying. Abhor. It's the worst saying ever. I want them to grow like the weeds they are and up and away and move out and be fantastic adults that will visit me in my nursing home with their grand babies.
That's the dream. That's what you sign up for you when you have the wee bairns.
Oh but I miss the tiny newborns. Their sweet smells and sighs and rooting. Their sweet smells. Sigh. Their teeny bodies and the whole birth experience. I loved all of that. The amazing nurses (except for D's ... we did great in spite of her) and my amazing doctors that handed me all three of my squalling babies. And I don't take that for granted. She handed me three healthy, beautiful, screaming infants. God bless her and keep her always. I am so grateful to her and her care of me when I was pregnant.
I can't get over it. All done. My sister having babies. Crazy.
