One year!

Weight: 17ish lbs
Height: unknown

Grady at one year
David at one year

A year old! Who can believe it's been a full trip around the sun.  Miss Julia now has four teeth.  Is crawling every where. Pulling up and cruising (also everywhere).  But no solo standing and no solo steps.  She will walk if you hold her hands, but it's wobbly.

Her best word is Dada and Grady.  It's alright kid, I birthed you, I fed you - single handedly - for an entire year, cut up the peanut butter sandwich just like you like ... but it's okay, say DAD first.  It's alright.  I don't mind.

She has started displaying temper and jealousy.  When I'm reading to David specifically she does not always approve.  She'll scream and cry and lunge at him until he moves.

But mostly she's pleasant.  She doesn't like being held any more, she wants to crawl around and get into stuff.  Age appropriate and good.

But also bad.  So bad.  The plane flights from here until about her next birthday will stink.  Thankfully we don't have too many.

She eats lots of solid foods.  Loves pizza and hotdogs (don't judge me).  She likes blueberry muffins.  Ice cream. Carrots and peas.

Know what she doesn't like? Cake.  had no interest.  I think she took one bite and I got two decent pictures.  It was sadness.  (Added to that my camera died but that's another post).

Her hair is getting blonder.  She's got an ombre thing going on.

Her eyes are still very blue.  David's are now more green so maybe her's will change too.

She loves legos and filling and dumping things.  Its started way earlier with her than it I remember with the boys.  Fill bucket.  Dump bucket.  Fill bucket.  Dump bucket.  Over and over and over.  Her fine motor skills are way better than the boys.  Her pincher grasp is pretty much perfect.  The boys had more to work on at this point.

Granted - they were both solo walking some at this age - so ain't like they aren't beating her in gross.  Which - stereotypical of the genders I am told.

She's in 12mo clothes but 9mo still fit in length but the waist pinches.  So we roll up 12mo sometimes.  Pretty much she wears what I grab.  No matter what size it is.  The red striped number there is a 12-18mo, to give you a scale.  And it will fit her for a while.

She sleeps great.  She lets you know when she's tired.  Lay her down, walk out.  She wants two naps but she only gets one.  She sleeps from about 12-230 and then bed at 630 and up at 7/730.  She's great.  More like G.  D is the one who has trouble winding down.  He was up tossing and turning in his bed well past 9pm last night!

Anyway.

Can not believe she's already one year old.  All done.  The baby stuff half done.  She's fun.
