Thankful

It's November and Thanksgiving and everyone will be posting everything that they are thankful for. I try - sometimes fail - to be thankful all the time. And there are a few things I think I am better (not great) at being thankful for. Our health. Healthy kids. My kids in general. Our health.
It's becoming cliche but ...
The house is a mess constantly and bugs me ... but I'm thankful for the roof over my families head.
The laundry is ridiculous and I can't keep up ... but I'm thankful for the clothes to keep my babies warm.
The trash is never ending and so. many. diapers ... but I'm grateful that my babies are healthy and make wet diapers. It means a lot of things are going well.
Cooking becomes such a chore ... but I have good, healthy, clean food to give my children.
Cleaning up their dirty plates ... because they have eaten their dinners and filled their bellies.
The screaming crying fussy pants baby ... has healthy lungs and is secure that someone will come and help her.
G is coughing (again) and snotty (again) ... he is growing a robust immune system that will protect him all his life. He doesn't require hospitalization or a nebulizer to help him breathe for these little colds. That is not a small blessing.
I was all set to try to take pictures every day again, things I'm thankful for. But what I found the last time was all my pictures ended up being the same ... thankful for my kids. Thankful for my health. Thankful for books. Thankful for clothes. Thankful for weather and pretty leaves. I may still do it. Who knows.
Happy November. Who can believe the year is this far gone?
