Anecdotes
At school lunch last Thursday ... G's friends kept calling over and waving at him. Talking to him across the lunch room. His very good friend Ethan, he asked if he would like to play dinosaurs the next day. G gave him a thumbs up and nodded. He loves playing dinosaurs. He is the Gorgosaurus.
Mom, gorgosauruses were the fastest dinosaurs right? [mom hummms for a minute looking for her phone to validate ... where is google?!] Well, the fastest land animal right? Because flying dinosaurs can probably dive faster.
After I picked D up last Thursday I asked him how his day was. First class he told me about was music. How they sang songs and how there were hand motions and he got two stamps (one for following directions and one for participating - it took G months to get the participation stamp). It is so funny to watch my left brained oldest and my right brained middle. That's my assumption at this point. Life is young. But it's pretty amazing.
After just a week of school I see bits of the social creature D will become, much like his brother. He tells me he plays with his friends, but he mostly tells me about his new love, Mrs. A. To whom I am so grateful. But in line today the parents said, oh is that D? I hear about him all the time. Just like I used to hear about G.
He's also talking more. Going to school is giving him confidence. It is a good thing.
