Three Months Old
Weight: 11lbs 3oz
Height: unknown
G at three months
D at three months
She is a mighty sprite. The weight is done with my scale at home and it was off on G by quite a bit so I'd imagine she weighs a bit more than that.
She is a smiley happy thing. She is going a bit longer between feedings I think, but is still mostly eating every two hours. TMI probably but I'm making more milk than I did with either boy and she's my lightest baby. Biology is so weird.
She is not a great sleeper. She is napping in the swing mostly now but she won't sleep in the bassinet or the swing and ends up in bed with me. She is getting more motor skills so she's moving her arms all night long and hitting me and waking up and so it's not really a great system anymore. I'm going to move her to her room very, very soon.
But to that end ... I'm breaking a lot of my own rules with her. I hold her while she sleeps a lot. She is my last baby. And I know that during some regression somewhere she will need to cry it out and if I have to let her cry it out might as well let her cry it out to sleep solo too. And she has no memory at this point. Every day is new. So it's not as if the habits I need to break are hers ... they are mine.
But she is my last baby. And as we all know ... babies don't keep. I highly doubt she will be sleeping in my bed in six months. That all said I have taken steps to get her room ready to sleep upstairs. And she did nap in her crib for the first time this weekend. She only slept an hour. But ... it's time. Well. It's close to time.
She has found her tongue and is constantly sticking it out. She's grabbed things somewhat voluntarily and brought them to her mouth. She's sort of blowing bubbles? She loves the boys. They smile at her and touch her and she just lights up.
But she is still a dainty thing. It may just be her. She may just be dainty. But ... though she be but little, she is fierce.
We love her. Can not imagine life without her.
