Three Babes in a Swing
It took a while but the swing has finally been accepted by my youngest. Oh how she wailed those first weeks anytime we put her in it. Fast or slow, no movement at all, sounds or none. Needless to say she didn't spend a lot of time in it.
But now, as of a week ago? Two weeks? Time is beginning to run together folks, she doesn't mind it so much. She's even been known to take the stray nap in it. Compared to David, who lived in it (literally, he slept in it at night for like three weeks and again at 4 months for about a month when he had an undiagnosed ear infection - bad mommy) - she is really late to the swing party.
I am big on baby wearing and I wear her a lot. But - especially now two months in - I need a break. It's a rare five minutes that I'm not being touched by someone in this house. Autonomy is necessary people. Necessary. For survival of the species.
So it's a good thing she likes the swing.
She looks like G. Especially here. Look at that, seriously. Much more like G. But she isn't fair like the other two. Even her eyebrows and lashes are darker.
