Yesterday we were Two Months old. We are the lightest of my babies. This isn't an official weight (we'll get that tomorrow) so we'll see how far off my measurements are.
At two months we are smiling more (when we're happy - we're kind of fussy lately). We're trying to sleep a lot still but having trouble drifting off unaided now. After the vacation (where she got held the whole time) she's not loving being put down much. She did well in the swing this weekend.
I'm cosleeping after her first night wake up so I'm not entirely sure how much she's waking up. I barely wake up when she does. She's not going very long that first stretch. Last night just till 1230. I have this grand dream that when she moves upstairs she'll go longer. But I'm not ready for her to go yet. She's pretty cuddly.
I'm dreading letting her cry it out but know that it's coming. I also know the discipline will be good for her. Discipline, not punishment. It's a fine line but it's real. We don't let our kids ride in the car without seat belts ... that's structure and discipline, not punishment. Because sometimes (her especially) they don't like it.
She's cooing some. Pushing up when she's on your chest. She hates tummy time. Lewis is trying to get her more tummy time. I guess he thinks I'm lax. I probably am.
Mostly she's wonderful fun and super sweet. And the hair ... we don't think it's going to fall out. It's thinning on the sides where she lays on it. But seriously it's growing. Her bangs (?!?) have gotten longer. I have no idea how to do bows. Or where they should be placed or how they should look.
But I am enjoying her. She is a sweetie. I am probably enjoying her infancy more than the boys simply because of circumstance. G was new and shocking. D was mired in health concerns for Dad. Hers ... she's my last and we're in a good place.
Two months gone already. Wow.
