Baby's First Nursery
So I live in a Texas sized house. And it's certainly spoiled me. But when we first imagined a new house and I saw what the new trend in his/her closets was my first thought was ... ooooh, the new baby (then D) could sleep in there! Because I don't have clothes enough to fill the space. A clothes horse, I am not.
And so he D slept peacefully in his quiet corner of the house, away from G and his noise. Pretty early too. Because I have this delightful thing I call "mothers ear" and I can not sleep with my babies in the room with me. It's a weird thing, because I can sleep if she's in the bed with me, like right there, but if she's across the room (and I can't feel her breathing) I can't sleep.
But she can't stay in the bed with us. No one is sleeping well. I sleep a thousand times better when she's in her own bed. And she's noisey. And her stirring means I go to her too quickly. If I can't hear her as readily, she's more inclined to drift off on our own. So it is that she moves to her first nursery.
My closet.
No idea if this will translate into her actually sleeping in the cradle at night. But ... one can hope.
