It's been another week of homebound-ness. Somehow, someway, G got a bacterial eye infection and ear infection. The contagious kind of ear infections. So fun. In good news, the doctor says that most kids don't get these bacterial infections after age 5. But I looked dubiously at little brother. What were the odds he'd avoid the infection?
I don't know. I feel like our odds are 50/50 at this point. G's been on meds since Monday and D's clear, but these things can sometimes linger. So cross fingers / say prayers / send good juju whatever your poison. Good thoughts into the universe that little brother (and myself) can avoid the worst of this luckiness.
The above picture. G got a new superhero book from the store and he was "reading" it to his brother. I thought it very sweet. These are new superhero pajamas; an impulse purchase at walmart (which, for the record, that trip sort of confirmed for me why I don't shop there). They love them. I predict they'll disintegrate to dust in the dryer after the third washing.
Oh bean bag chairs, how we love thee. They are great for wrestling, for throwing each other in, for running head first into, for jumping off the furniture into, for hiding under ... the list goes on and on. These are hand made by my aunt (except that checkered one that we bought after we got the blue one back there). And they are sturdy hardy things. The blue one needs to be emptied, washed, and refilled. It's in sad shape compared to the red and multi-colored one.
They love them. They sit in them when they are ill and cover up with blankets. They sit in them when they are well and have feet wars. So thank you very much nice Aunt for this very versatile of gifts!! We love them!
