20 Weeks
Half way through. Doesn't really seem possible. And if you think about it, I'm probably over half way done (though that's a sure fire way to jinx it, writing that down). I went with D at 38+6, and if this baby stays as low as is current … I find it impossible that I'd be late. But, again, I'm probably jinxing myself.I feel huge, but I look at pictures and know I'm not THAT big, not yet. The big months are out there, looming ahead of me. And again, if baby stays low, those months promise to be oh so much fun. I'm already having pain and waddling. At 20 weeks. Ridiculous. But I mentioned it at my OB appointment and I got the infamous, "third baby" remark.
Have I mentioned I'm tired of the "third baby" remark?
It's the excuse for every thing that ails you. Throwing up till 16 weeks? Third baby. Stomach rounding out and protruding by 9 weeks? Third baby. Not able to sleep at 6 weeks? Third baby. Heart burn since the positive test? Third baby.
I don't think it's the number, I think it's this baby. And if you look, everything I complained about was first trimester. I'm blessedly over the hump of most of that. And able to eat food and have appetite and don't feel like I'm living with a constant hang over. So that's nice.
I have another sonogram on Thursday because the little sweetie at the anatomy scan was upside down, tight in a fetal position, and did not allow for proper measurements of internal organs that doctor types like to have before delivery. They are sending me to the specialist again, which made me pause a bit, though they assure me there was nothing wrong, just want to make sure we get it this time. The specialist is more determined. He'll push on baby till she moves.
In good news, he has a better machine, so the pictures should be better.
Twenty weeks. Baby number 3. Can't really believe it.
