Unique Problem
I have a unique problem. G for the better part of the last two years has worn the same size clothes. So from 18mo to 36mo he wore about the same size clothes. Watch your judgmental thoughts, they become your life.
Anyway, so I have a unique problem.
D is in the 18 to 2T range. I have lots of 18mo pants, but virtually no 2T pants. They never fit G right, so I stopped buying them. He wore 18mo high waters for a really long time. He got taller (a little) but put on no weight.
Now, he's in the very normal 4T clothes, though they are a bit long on him.
But my hand me down wardrobe has a big hole in it. For the most part I think we're just going to make do. But the clothes that are going to fit D, many of them, are still in G's drawers.
So we're doing this whole, G, do you think that's small enough to pass on to D? And it's like, 50/50 on whether or not he's willing to pass them on. Sooooo what to do. Force the issue? And just kind of take some of 2T shirts out of his drawer and risk the freak out? In stages? Like move them out of the drawer, into a box, and then incorporate them into D's wardrobe?
I think it has to be the latter. Soon they will be in the same size, and I'm hopeful we'll just draw clothes out of the same drawer and it'll be fine. But while G is adjusting a bit to having a bigger little brother, and still kind of going mommy that shirt is mine! It's apparent that I have a unique problem. Or maybe a problem that a lot of people have with twins.
