Conversations with G
[Driving home from the store, a police officers turns right to enter our subdivision in front of us, we turn left to enter behind him.]
G: Mommy! A police officer! Someone is in trouble!
M: I think he lives over here, sweetie. I think he's going home.
G: [said with the same emphasis one might say, don't cut off my hand] No mommy! He lives at the police station! He does not live over here!
M: I think he works at the police station sweetie, but he might live over here.
G: [thinks for a second] Yes, he works at the police station. But then he lives in a police officer house. [said with emphasis on police officer, because clearly they have special living requirements. So mommy is still wrong, clearly.]
