G goes to school twice a week.  When he started last year (Sept 11), my due date was Sept 12.  I sort of thought I'd be late delivering so I might get a week of time to myself.  As we all know that did not happen.

From the beginning I knew he enjoyed his time with mama to himself.  That has not changed.  We don't even do anything.  He just likes that I sit with him while he eats or snacks or plays with toys.  Today I got the camera out.

He is a sweet boy.  He is affectionate and cuddly and chatty.  He talks quite a bit in a language I can't quite decipher but he repeats inflection a lot more than G did.  He also has much better motor skills than G did.  His balance is better than G at this same age.

He loves walking.  He still only goes like 10-15 steps and has to go to a table or couch or furniture.  His favorite game (and also his brother's) is to take the walker and do laps around the kitchen and living room.  I tried to get pictures this morning of them "racing" but it didn't work out.

It's a joy being his mama.  In different ways than G.  It is odd how you just expand.  When I was pregnant I would idly wonder how I would feel having two kids.  Do you really just love them equally?  Yes and no.  I love them both unconditionally but I love different things about them.  G I love his imagination and his chattiness and his big heart.  Chalupa, and this will change as he just keeps growing up on me, but he's so sweet and eager and cuddly.  He wants so much to be like his brother.  He copies everything G does.  He would crawl inside his skin if he could.

Last night at dinner G was pretending his sandwich was a dragon, and it was soaring over his head and roaring at the other food.  So Chalupa picked up his pieces of cheese and was waving them around and roaring too.

This is the great period.  The wonderful age before tantrums and talking back and school and potty training.  Where he is still mostly my baby, but sort of his own little boy too.  I am glad I have him with me Tuesdays and Thursdays for at least a little bit, just the two of us.  I think that'll be true for two more years yet, based on his age.

That is a good thing.  He is my sweet boy.
