We were supposed to go a few weeks ago but weather or illness or just life got in the way. Today, we went after preschool. Which is brave of me.  Going anywhere after preschool, where there is no naptime, is dangerous.  They play hard at preschool.  G always comes home exhausted and we go to bed early.  Thursdays are worse because after preschool we have soccer practice.  But I digress.

This is the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm.  It has a hay ride, animals to feed, and of course, pumpkins.  G remembers it from last year.  He really likes feeding the animals.  He's a sweet boy.  He thinks if he does not feed them all they go hungry.  They would stick their heads out like the greedy characters they are and he would say, "awe, they are cutey babies." and give them hugs.  And every time the goats (or sheep, they are equal opportunity greedy beggers) would nuzzle him and he'd think they were being affectionate but they were really groping for the cup of feed.

Chalupa giggled when they took the feed out of his hands.  He was perplexed by the process.

They both agreed that the hay ride was wonderful.  Chalupa just smiled as soon as it started.  G of course remembered it from last year, and was super excited.

In order to get pictures, I "boo'd" at them.  We discovered, while reading Scaredy Cat Splat, that Chalupa will say "boo" if you say "boo" to him.  It's pretty stinking cute.  He does hand motions too (you can see him with his hands up, his lips ready to say "boo").

Our friends we were with, her youngest is dressing up as a lion for halloween so we were trying to take pictures of him and we were trying to get him to roar.  Chalupa roared instead.  Pretty cute.  He also says mama with regularity (and frequently).  He's still not walking full time.  He wants to, but he gets frustrated and gives up.  He had an ear infection last week or the week before I guess and it's set him back.  At least that's the excuse I'm giving him.  I'm sure he'll get there.  He's always hit every other milestone.  I'm sure he'll walk eventually.

He needs a hair cut.  But I can't bring myself to do it.  That will just cement the end of his babydom.
