First Day of School

That was it. We had talked in the hallway while we waited in line to get to the door (first day of school is a train wreck of parents). You're going to have a great day; you're going to play with toys and make new friends and be nice to everyone. Yeah mom! He was excited. I wasn't worried it would go any other way.
At pick up I heard nothing. I asked how he did they said he had a great day. I checked his back pack and it said he loved playing on the playground. This is the exact same thing that happened at pick up every day last year. I'm not complaining. But I'd like to hear something like ... he listened great, he did what he was asked, he was kind with his friends or he and so and so didn't get along well today so they played separately or we couldn't share today or we didn't listen at lunch time. Something. I don't want to be the helicopter. But I'd like to hear something. Literally last year all I heard was "he did great." Everyday. I know the moms who get constant reports home would kill for that. So I try to be grateful.
