Two kids with very varied swimming ability makes the pool just something I am really
not prepared to tackle a lot this summer. Last summer G and I went to the pool at least three times a week but I just don't see that happening this summer.
So I invested $10 and got the standard plastic pool.
It's a hit with G and Chalupa is luke warm toward it. Initially the water is so cold he finds it ridiculous. But after his mama leaves him to moan about it (and he gets used to the temperature) he does fine.
G sees lots of fun to be had. And truthfully its about as much water as he wants to play in anyway, as last years fish is this years turtle, and he'd rather just kind of go near the water rather than submerge. I don't understand it, I'm trying not to force it. I don't want to scar the kid or anything.
This is G doing "super Tiger" is self named super hero. Super Tiger comes out when he's mad at you, and he'll kind of roar/hiss at while making this clawing motion. Super Tiger comes out when he's chasing the other kids on the playground. And sometimes he uses his laser, Buzz Lightyear style, to defend himself when "attacked."
He is, without a doubt, 100% boy.
