At my parents house (the old house) Rusty would jump up on the bed with G, and then he would throw the ball and Rusty would scurry off (quickly) and fetch the ball back up the bed. G loooooved it.
This went on for many, many minutes. Until Rusty stopped fetching.
My parents had a going away party / house warming party the last day we were in town (it wasn't because we were going away - one of their friends is moving). G got this bat and ball set from the $1 bin at Target and he has a new book (if you give a dog a donut) and the dog plays baseball so he's very interested. The sippy cup was home plate and it was great fun to "intimdate the pitcher" and bang the bat into the cup.
He later pitched to Daddy (and fieled the ball himself). This was also great fun.
And then shortly thereafter he was able to hold the bat (sort of) and daddy could pitch to him. He actually got "wood on it" one time! But for the most part it's mostly Daddy aiming really well.
The way from ABQ to Dallas in Amarillo. Cadillac Ranch. I never have understood the appeal but G was fussing and it was time to stop. (Turned out his diaper had leaked).
We went to the park with our friends that we're crashing with and they had a sand pit. G never wanted to leave. He is 100% boy.
Still at the park, goofing off in a hat that I
finally got him to keep on. As with all things, it's all in the way your present it. And as soon as I turned it into a game (see if you can hit things with the bill) he stayed on the head....
.... for the most part. S is for science. A gift from Uncle Ron and Aunt Megan.
Picnic at the park. He ate lots and lots of water melon. It does my heart so much good when he eats well. And he is the type that you can see it when he does ... it's only been a week but his face is filling back in and his legs are chunkier. Today he's had 6oz of yogurt, half a banana, a strawberry and maybe 2oz of cheerios. Thanking God for these wonderful blessings!
I ordered the new
bedroom furniture for G. I feel a bit bad about this because first born gets brand new and second born gets what he's already used ... already. But I have bought new decor and I've got the bedding picked out and I'm going to paint and I'm going ot get him his very own "coming home" outfit so that's something. I can't go too nuts on buying him clothes because, well obviously, I have some. But he does deserve some of his own things. Oh and he'll get a brand new stroller (that he has to share) and I'm going to get him some hats because I'm a better photographer now than I was (arguably) and he will be a highly photographed baby. Oh well ... I guess life's not fair.
