Things I'm Excited About
Doing laundry today ... I mentally went through all the things I will really enjoy come June.
... a larger laundry room
... a larger kitchen that will allow for easier meal prep and hopefully less messy meal prep (HA! Who am I kidding?)
... G has room for all his cars that is not also our adult living space
... a room for the new baby
... and I think about the new babies room, and the bathroom between it and G's room, and I think we can grow up here! Everyone with space to enjoy hobbies and fun times. But it's cozy. But it's large.
... a backyard that is quieter. A house that is quieter.
There are a lot of things about a larger house I'm not looking forward to. Cleaning more toilets. Cleaning a larger kitchen. Having my babies so far away from my bedroom. But I like saying babies. Plural. That makes me very happy. Cleaning more toilets. A play room that is upstairs. But the larger living space will allow for some things to stay downstairs. And who knows, maybe we'll be upstairs a lot because of the baby's room and what not. Stairs (shudder). Cleaning more toilets (did I mention this already?).
But I am getting excited. It's good to change, and move on, advance. We go forward, or we stop. Or to quote one of my favorite kid movies ... keep moving forward.
And why are they called kid movies anyway? Some of my favorite movies are "family/kid" movies. I really don't like a lot of so called adult movies. So much sadness and violence and needless swearing. I'm much happier watching an orphan inventor try to make a machine to go find his mom (and who wouldn't want to adopt an inventor? seriously? that would be awesome).
