Target had bubble machines on sale ($8) so I picked one up. Even better, the cashier didn't ring it up and I didn't notice until I got home (full disclosure: not sure I would have pointed it at out at the time if I had. I know. I'm a theif). I had imagined a squealing delighted mess of a child.
I got about half that reaction. He does like it. But the sheer number of bubbles, I think, overwhelm him. And he's more fascinated trying to figure out how the machine works than chasing the bubbles. Though he does chase his fair share.
The discerning reader will notice these were shot on two different afternoons when he happened to be wearing the same shirt.
Not sure what word he was trying to say. If I had to give it a guess, I'd say juice or fruit snacks.
I liked these only because of the carrying colors of the bubbles. It is much harder to get bubble shots at lower f stops, just saying.
And this one was today and we'd moved out on from bubbles and were instead splashing in the water table. A great investment.
We did go to Houston for the weekend and see our extended family (including the inlaws from Wisconsin!) but in a completely not like me turn of events, I hardly took any pictures. This is a sadness but it was so busy, the trip so short, the stairs so close to the play area, that I just didn't have time to focus on picture taking and I didn't feel like I could force folks to sit together for stills. I know ... who are you and what have you done with Stacy? It's wierd, and I've complained to all, but the fault is mine. I wanted to get a picture of us all done up in our Easter duds so we'd have a current family pic. But ... another time I guess.
