Pathology report and the EE
I failed to write this down. But we did get the pathology back from the EE. I guess on the 5th I called to get the results back (we had the test on the 28th, expected results the 2nd, I gave it the weekend). The doctor called and said that he had to call and get them himself, and that they were clean. No eosinophils. So cut him off the flo.vent cold turkey and watch and wait for symptoms to return.
So that was 11 days ago.
He has not thrown up. Which, if you remember, when he took him off the prev.acid he started throwing up immediately. I have seen his appetite fall off some, I think, but I also think that could be the sinus problems from allergies, and he's cutting his two year molars. Anything could be causing slight changes in his appetite. I can't make any changes until he starts vomiting again.
Which sort of breaks my heart. Because G didn't ever gag or throw up on food (which is the atypical symptom - because of the tighteness in his throat). He would eat mushy things and the swelling would get so bad it caused acid reflux. So, in order for his symptoms to return, the swelling has to be very painful, and there for a while.
I really can't wait until he can tell me when it hurts. I ask him all the time, and point to his throat, does it hurt? But he doesn't get it, not yet. The doctor also said that it will get easier as he can communicate more readily. Duh.
I'm being cautious ... but he is still eating and he's not throwing anything up. So maybe, off the milk and the soy, it won't flare up again. Here's hoping!
