More Notes From A Second Pregnancy
I don't know if it's the selling of the house --
Quick update we got an offer and we've just accepted (as in just, I just signed the documents). 7 days on the market. I'm not bragging because the offer is below our asking price and less than we would have dreamed of, but for 7 days on the market we decided to take it, and move on. As of April 26th we will no longer own this home. No, we currently do not have an offer out on a new house. So we better snap to it.
-- or if it's having a toddler running around or if it's just this pregnancy, but I definitely feel more hormonal. I don't remember this feeling with G. I do have the similar migraine headaches at this same exact week with G. And if I remember they continued through week 17 because I asked the doc at my 16w appointment what the heck was going on and when they would stop. She advised that they were first trimester hormone related but, and this is true now, they only started as soon as the second trimester started. I can only think that's because that's when the placenta officially fully takes over the feeding of the baby and the hormones do trickery again. I have to believe that's why the moodiness is worse too.
My appetite has kicked in and I'm hungry all day long. Veggies, again, are the craving de jour. Spinach lately, or broccoli.
I've given in completely and made the switch to maternity. At 14 weeks. Unbelievable. But really, if I think about it, that's only three weeks sooner than last time. But I look now, at just over 3.5 months (15w tomorrow), similar to how I looked at 4 and 5 months last time. There's just nothing holding my stomach in. Those muscles just went poof!
I try to be happy and pleased and calm and not complain. I do (and did) feel the baby much earlier than last time. I felt him move around for a few minutes last night. Nothing I can feel on the outside with my hand, but I can feel him for sure, and it's very reassuring.
We have no idea on names. And we won't be telling folks the name, I don't think. I'm a superstitious sort, and reserve the right to change my mind if I'm over come in delivery and decide the name Jebidiah is his name. Yes, we do believe he is a boy. But I've always thought we would only have boys. If my boys are all like Grady (except for his unwillingness to participate or be good during story time, a blog for another day) than that will be alright.
I'm writing down more now about this pregnancy than I did with the last because I really enjoy going back through what I did write down before.

And one of the things I miss about being pregnant are maternity jeans. Those things were like getting to wear pajamas every day, so live it up!
