We went to the Ft. Worth Zoo yesterday with my next door neighbor and her Aunt and her two boys and her mother. The kids are really starting to appreciate these types of outings and it's very fun. G loves birds - and all things that fly through the air - so he and I went to the bird house first and he fed several of them and ran around the little pavilion chasing birds and yelling. Because that's a toddlers two favorite things - running and screeching. Well and birds, in this toddler's instance.
This zoo has a Texas area that has a kids play room (only under 38" allowed so it's great) and he really enjoyed lifting up all the doors and levers and pushing all the buttons. He'd push the buttons to make the animal noises but it would startle him and he'd run away. Pretty funny.
