My little outdoorsman has gotten to a point where he hates being inside. He will walk up to me, grab my hand, and attempt to drag me to a door (any door) that leads outside. Sometimes he will go get my purse and bring it to me, indicating that it is time to go somewhere.
Most times, he just walks up to a door and bangs on it. Or walks up to his stroller and starts bopping up and down on the balls of his feet.
We are officially porch rats, because endless entertainment can be had watching the cars that drive down our street, or the airplanes that pass by overhead; white little lines across the sky that I can barely see, but that his young vision picks out as soon as he can hear their engines roar.
The slide is a source of great fun. He will do this up and down up and down for quite a while. Long after I've tired of it.
You can see him pointing at the plane flying by, and one of these (bottomleft) is the look he got on his face when I said "STOP" because he was attempting to jump the curb into the street. The top left is shortly after that when I said "let's get in the stroller." His comprehension is amazing. And he loves tasks. Any task. Putting things in the trash is great fun. Putting toys away is great fun.
He can point to his own nose and ears pretty regularly. But he can instantly point to mama's nose, eyes, ears, mouth.
He is still small for his age but if you see me in real life please don't say "oh he's so tiny." He's my big boy. And he is perfect.
