Rick Perry ... and why he probably won't have my vote

Rick Perry is Governor Gardasil to me.  Always will be.

When that vaccine came out, I was 26.  I went to the doctor and they pressured me, HEAVILY, to start the protocol, because I would be 27 next year and then no longer eligible.  To me, 26 was ineligible, this was a new vaccine, who knew what it's effect on me would be?  How would it react to other shots?  Other medicines?

No one could tell me, because it hadn't been tested thoroughly.  I argued with the nurse.  I documented it here.  And I really, really, really, really hate when my doctor, or any doctor, advises me to do something because my husband might be unfaithful.  They are asking me to distrust him, and I will not do that.

Anyway.  Rick Perry.

He is so far in bed with Merck I just can't stomach it.  He's said it was a mistake but was it a mistake because he misjudged the electorate?  Or because forcing 11 year old grade school girls to take an STD vaccine is wrong?

But ever since about ... oh, 2007?  He's been changing his spots.  He's traditionally been a pretty liberal guy.  Pro-choice, high property taxes, and such.  But whenever the tea party started, he started trying to appear at rallies, started talking about prayer in schools, pro-life, etc.  The establishment down here saw what he was doing.  Anyone with a brain saw it as an attempt to appeal to a base to not only keep his seat (he had a pretty hard run to keep his Governors seat from Kay Bailey in the primary - another person I dislike) but also a play for the White House.

He's an ambitious man.  He was Al Gore's campaign manager in 1988.  He used to be registered Democrat.  But Texas turned on him, he couldn't get elected, he changed allegiances, he's now the governor, hoping to be President.

None of that bothers me so much as being in Merck's pocket.  His former cheif of staff was a top Merck Lobbyist and Merck donated $6k to Perry's relection campaign.  It was all quid pro quo, they pay, he plays.  And when the legislature said, nu-uh, Perry did it by executive order.  Not very conservative.

Perry is covering his mistakes (Al Gore and Merck) by saying one, he found God, and two, that he changed his mind and listened to the people.

No sir, you didn't.  You tried to ram it down our throats.  And I, for one, have not forgotten.

There is no one in the field that I like right now.  Bachmann is just ... I don't know.  She works in Congress and I just can't stomach another Congressional President.  They just work the system.  Career politicians.  Nothing will change except the colors on the wall at the White House.  I don't like Mitt Romney and his Romney Care.  Pawlenty dropped out.  Ron Paul is just a little ... I just can't do it.

I don't know.  I want someone to support, they just don't exist.

The question for me is whoever goes up against Obama, will he be better than him. I don't think our commerce will survive another 4 years of the dems regulations alone.
