Doing it himself
From refusing to wear a shirt if he doesn't put it on himself, to trying to remove his pants, to taking off his diaper, to rinsing off his own hair in the tub, and now feeding himself with a utensil.
I rebel against this one. It is soooo messy. And slow. Painfully slow. But he wants to do it and it's better for him to know and do it. So ... we let him try to feed himself. Last night it was peas. This morning it was his yogurt.
It's a work in progress, clearly, and I took the spoon back a couple times and fed himself because he's just not so great at getting food on the spoon. But ... something new to blog about.
We are also weaning off the sleep sacks. Which if you recall has become the lovie. So I'm putting the zipped up empty sleep sack in the crib with him, hoping this will help. I'm not sure if it's more confusion then comfort but ... I keep trying. I'm a stubborn old soul. So I keep trying.
Next up: bottle. After we figure out if we've gained any weight.
