Ridiculous
First - I only have a minute, so if there are misspellings, etc, it's because nap time is nearing it's end but I simply HAVE to say something.
Okay the debt talks. Holy mother of all this is so ridiculous. In December the President agreed with the 2010 Congress (lead by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi) that raising taxes in a down economy was a bad idea. That it would further hurt his recovery efforts. He said that. He did. So he signed a bill that extended the "Bush Tax Cuts" because raising taxes was bad. He did that with Democrat control of both chambers and the White House.
Now, flash forward six months and he thinks he's going to be able to get tax increases passed? Why? And how in the world does the entire Congressional body think they can continue to run the country WITHOUT A BUDGET. They sign continued resolutions, CR CR CR. NO BUDGETS. It's perposterous.
This new story that Congresswoman Jackson Lee was on the House Floor today saying that Republicans are being mean to this President because he's black just boils my water.
First of all he's not the first President to fight with Congress. Reagan fought with them. Clinton fought with them (he was flipping impeached!). Bush fought with them and the entire media. Fights have riddled around national discourse for years. Good bad or indifferent he is not the first President to come up against a wall in Congress. To say he is facing hardship because he's black is the worst sort of demagoguery and race baiting and I can not believe that woman is from my state. They try year after year to vote her out but her constituents keep sending her back. She is a joke.
This woman does not believe Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. She is bat crazy and I wish she'd be quiet.
As to what I think about the budget ... we have a massive spending problem, not a lack of revenue. And I would like to point out that this spending problem is happening a good 3 years before Obamacare comes into play. I shudder to think of what our future holds if we keep this course. But these are my thoughts ...
They have this much money. That's it. No more. Live within that means before we give you any more. You have not proven you can handle the money we do send you. They have been living on credit while the rest of us tax payers cut back years ago. It's time the government tighten the belt they've been telling us to tighten for so many months.
And no. I will not eat my peas. You eat yours.
