One - listening to the closing arguments in the Casey Anthony Trial is crazy.  The FACTS are that the precious baby's body was so decomposed they don't know what killed her.  Therefore they have no murder weapon.  They have nothing concrete to connect Casey to her baby's death.  So I don't see how the jury can say that they know Casey did anything beyond a reasonable doubt.

BUT - what will send Casey to jail for the rest of her natural life is her behavior in the days after Caylee's death.  Partying, not reporting her missing ... not the actions of a devestated mother.  I can not even fathom,  if I were in that court room listening to this, seeing pictures of my daughter ... I'd be crying every day, every minute.  They would have to recess every 15 minutes because I'd be screaming to the sky and asking God why this had happened to me.

But I have never been stoic.  I believe she gets life, not the death penalty.  There's just not a clear connection.

Second - the new information about autism and enviornmental factors doesn't really help me much.  All the study says is that genetics do not cause it as much as they thought they did.  Greeeaaatt.  They pull out another boogie man, antidepressents, so maybe everyone will stop taking zoloft just like everyone stopped vaccinating their kids.

Third - the budget battle.  The reason that they had closed door sessions and "agreed" to not talk about what they discussed in those meetings is because this is what they said, "listen, my consituents want A.  But we have to raise the debt ceiling or we default, and we can't SERIOUSLY affect the national debt in less than 20 days.  Sooo ... let's all leave this meeting, cowtow to our perspective bases and talk tough about deals, taxes and lines in the sand, and then on July 21st we'll raise the debt ceiling and we'll fight the budget battle come September after the recess.  I'm tired.  It's 4th of July, lets go grab a beer at the Congressional Bar and talk about the selection of wines and cigars on our yachts."

They will raise the ceiling.  The tea party caucus will bemoan it and scream.  But there is not one member that is serious about cutting anything meaningful.  Why can't we just pull up 2008's budget (or 2006 - or 2003) and adjust slightly for inflation and just use that?  Because blah blah blah blah blah.  The truth is we could.  It'd hurt, it'd be big cuts, but we could do it.  But no one wants to cut anything that anyone will actually notice.  BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL JOKES.

We are going to be bankrupt.  We are bankrupting our children's futures and they are laughing about it in closed door sessions.  The American people started cutting back 3 years ago and the government is still acting like it's 2007 and the country is still flush.  CUT the spending.

Fourth - Presidential race.  I don't know.  I like Michelle Bachman, but do I like her like her?  Enough to be President?  Dunno.  Pawlenty doesn't stand a chance.  He's to serious, maybe?  Newt, 1990 called, they said it's over.  (HAve I said that before?  It's cause it's true!)  Romney - if I were you I'd be scared if Perry gets in.  Ya'll look too much alike and Perry's state (some bias here) is doing way better than Massachusetts has ever done.  Palin won't get in.  And I can't remember anyone else.  Oh yeah, Paul.  Insert laugh track here - though I agree with a lot of what he says.

Okay gotta go chase a toddler.
