Du-ksssssssssss

Some days nothing inside will entertain.  So you must go out.  Even if it's 115 outside.  This morning it was only 90, and he had quite clearly had enough of being inside, having been sick for two weeks and then the heat keeping us in doors.

I've written about the ducks before, and how I was wondering how much he actually got out of the experience.  Well today he patently refused to stay in his stroller, and wanted to throw the pieces of bread for the ducks.

The ducks (pronounced du-ksssssssssssss) sensed his unease and walked right up to him and one intrepid duck, pictured, took the bread right from his little hand.  These pics aren't great as I endeavored to shoo the ducks from getting too close (I'm not a fan of birds when they get aggressive), keep G up right and from falling in the drink, helped him with the bread, and took pictures.  I'm sure we were quite the sight.

He cried when we left.  Also shown here.

Too soon to go back (and not quite hot enough to force my hand) we moved on to a safer spot for him to toddle.  He likes to put the cap back on the camera, it's as if he's saying, "no, you need this.  really."

A kid and his snack trap.
