Deathly Hallows

I am so excited about Harry Potter Deathly Hallows.  I'm not as excited about this as I was about the 7th book, I don't think anything could top that ... but when that came out I at least had the final movies to get me through.  Now that those are all but done, now what?

I read a blog today talking about how priviledged we all are to be experiencing the Harry Potter phenomenon "live."  I wonder if my son will like it as much as my family has?  I mean how could he, really?

There are idiots out there on the internet talking about how "what if the last horcrux is a table spoon" or some such nonsense.  Really?  Are there people out there that don't KNOW what the 7 horcruxes are?  Really?  That amazes me.

And there can not be people who have only seen the movies who are excited about this last one.  I mean if you've never read the books you. just. don't. get. it.  Not that you can't enjoy it or anything, but seriously you are missing so much!  My husband has not read the books.  I find him to be exasperating.  But fiction is not his cup of tea.  He'd rather read and learn something (nonfiction).  What poppy cock!

I am worried about some of the things I've seen in clips.  There is so much they've changed.  I'm super excited to see The Prince's Tale.  But in the book ... did that happen in the boat house?  I thought that happened in the shrieking shack?  Maybe I'm dillusional.  Nope.  I was right.  I want everything to be as it was in the book, but I realize that's not possible.

And Harry screaming at Snape about how he killed Dumbledore in front of everyone?  And falling from a tower?  Ooooh there's a lot I think I can find wrong.  They show Ron and Hermoine going into the Chamber of Secrets.  The book doesn't do that.  Mostly because that'd break POV and Jo is not an amateaur.

I'm super excited.  I just wish G felt better.  Our plans are all going to have to change because his sick and Lewis may not get to go see it with all of us.  :(  Oh well.  Flexibility and all that.
