Things I'm Thinking ...

There are some moments that just stay with you.  Standing on the grass across from Cape Canaveral, waiting for the Space Shuttle to launch (it didn't go that day), my Dad told a friend of his that I (then 9 or 10) would hate him some day.  My dad was taking us to Disney World the next day.  I was going to hate my dad?  Impossible.  I never did.  Not even for moving me senior year.  Now my mom ... :)  I tease.  I never hated her either.  But I sure did put both of them through their paces.

Or me asking me mom (this was earlier, I was 6 or 7) about the movie she'd gone out to see the night before with Dad (Pretty Woman) and her stumbling over how to tell her oldest daughter about prostetution.  She was a street walker.  A what? A call girl.  She took a lot of phone calls?  No, no.  HA.

The moment Lewis walked into Drew's apartment.  He did a double take.

When the towers fell.  The music I played after hearing disturbing news a few years ago.  Taking to Kenda maybe a day and a half before my Grandfather died and just getting a feeling.

Anyway there are moments that just stay with you.

I sincerely hope that my sons face when I first gave him chocolate ice cream, is one of those moments that just stays.  Because oh my heaven he went after it.  And me without a camera!
