They have GOT to be kidding
The White House would prefer the action in Libya not be called a war, and instead are using the PR approved phrase: "Kinetic Military Action."
This is a joke, right?
But oh no. The word is not old. President Bush was SLAMMED for using the same word in regards to action against Iraq.
I do not understand the insanity that is taking place right now.
First, President Obama tries to say that he has international cooperation and a coalition, things that President Bush did not have.
These people seem to think that if they just SAY THINGS they end up becoming true.
The reality is, that President Bush had a coalition of 30 countries on the Iraq war. President Obama has 16. But I guess the only "international cooperation" that he's counting is the UN resolution to intervene. Nevermind that the "coalition" is being panned as unwilling to do just about anything.
Mom pointed out this blog post from The Anchoress, and I think it hits some good points. Key quote:
The hypocrisy on both sides is amusing. Never have I heard Fox News talk so much about how much patrolling a no fly zone costs. Or how much military action in general costs.

A study in contrasts – I think we’ll be seeing a lot of these. I’m struck how Bush took months and months to “rush to war” while Obama seems have decided to take on Libya between writing his brackets and packing his travel bags, and yet Bush was the impulsive “cowboy” and Obama … sigh, oh, what’s the point…passive aggressive?
