Getting big. We were weighed the other day and we weigh 18lbs 10oz. Which means he gained 11 oz in 4 weeks. The doc says that's right on track.
To explain, he says that breastfed babies plateau for several weeks and then start gaining again. And I've learned, that it's not so important what percentile they are in. And it's more important what their "line" is doing. Grady's went up up up and then flat lined, and the doc says it's going up again, and that's all that matters. Also, as long as he was still getting taller and his head was still growing, than he was technically, still growing, even if he wasn't packing on pounds. So let's hear it for skinny babies.
In other news, we are clapping regularly now. Our favorite "word" or sound is "ba" or "bo". I think we use these interchangeably for book, dog, bath. Mama has gone away, he still doesn't say Da sounds and Ga is very rare. Sometimes he sounds like he's saying Hi. Hard to say really.
I can not believe it'll be a year in 6 weeks. Can not. Believe.
