"The best days are the days babies come."

Three babies were due at the end of January / early February and all three have been brought into the world!  They are all so precious and lovely it's enough to make your heart burst.  Two sweet boys and one precious little girl.

It brings back so many wonderful thoughts and warm memories.  It seems like it was just yesterday but it was almost ten months ago, nearly a year ago!  I remember being huge and uncomfortable and scared and nervous and then he was here and I remember not knowing what the heck I was doing and having some yucky post-partum (that passed, easily and on it's own) and not sleeping for 6 months!  It was practically on the little dudes 6 months anniversary that I finally started sleeping.  Or rather, that he did.

They tell you this, and you shake your head or nod and smile and wish they would shut up, but it goes by SO FAST.  I do not miss the infant stage, per say, at least not ALL of it.  But I loved having this little miracle, this little guy that I grew in my very own belly!  What a wierd miraculous thing that's just proof of God.  How else is such a thing even possible?

This is how the species is perpetuated though.  We forget anything negative and only remember lovely baby thoughts and baby smells and lovely first baby smiles and finger holding.

And we start the baby dance all over again!

Welcome to the world little ones!

PS - Melanie really did have it right.  The best days ARE the days babies come.  For everyone.  It's wonderful for the new family, but it's wonderful for all the extended family and friends too.  It's just a wonderful, joyful time for all!

Another thing ... I'm really glad I wrote some of the early stuff down.  How difficult I thought it was, what I tried, what I thought.  I can look back and laugh at myself, learn from it, move on.  He did spoil us the first three months of his life.  He slept great.  And then he utterly collapsed, and I had to teach him.

He gives "Grady kisses" now.  He grabs my face and puts his mouth on my cheek and blows rasberries. He will pretty much do it when I say, "grady kisses" it's so super cute.
