Arizona Tragedy

The news out of Arizona is both harrowing and encouraging.  Doctors are optimisitic about a recovery for Rep. Giffords after being shot in the head.  An intern who had been on her team for 5 days helped to save her life.  The pyschopath that did this is in custody, and the rest of us just sit around going, "what in the world was he thinking?"

And we won't ever know.  But there are many (mostly editorial boards) who are claiming it's all politically motivated.  That he was a member of the "fringe" tea party movement, and it insighted him to violence.

None of which can be substaniated at this point.  None of which matters to the families of those affected.  I sincerely hope that Rep. Giffords pulls through.

Those who have been placing blame on their political opponents are showing their lack of character. It also shows a definite lack of interest (on their part) in the facts of this tragedy or of the basic truth. They are despicable and those that believe their vitriol are uninformed and a quite like lemmings.
