Adventures in Sewing: More Baby Gifts
For a baby to be named later ... arriving in late April.
The gift bag ... can be reused for dirty clothes or toys. :)
Lined ... with drawstring closure.
Hooded towel and two burp towels or hand towels.
Modeled by Grady. :)
complete with pleat in the back. I'm very proud. I followed my friend Emily's advice with the color around the hood, but the rest of the pattern is HERE. I had left over terry cloth so I used that and not real towels. But I'm going to make one / two of these for Grady and other babies in the future so I probably will take the bloggers advice and by the cheapy towels from Wal-Mart. Probably the best I've done following instructions to date with my sewing adventures.

A 44" swaddle blanket, big enough to swaddle a 9 month old (at least one in the 30th-ish percentile). Hospitals swaddle in blankets this size, the ones at the store are usually 36" or smaller. I was given one this size and we STILL use it for nap time. So I now make them as baby gifts.
And the other standard gift I give, a taggie. Because they are awesome and minky fabric is super soft.
