What do you do all day?
I get this question a lot. And I never have a good answer. I sort of start thinking about what I do all day and then come up blank and my first instinct is to say nothing.
But that's totally not true.
I take care of Grady all day. And I know that sounds pretty lame, on it's surface. But honestly, I take care of Grady all day. We eat our meals, we play games, we read books. I also have to do household garbage in there somewhere (dishes, laundry, etc) and I have my crafts.
But, to my former working self, that doesn't sound like all that much. But I swear the days pass. The past three months I spent fighting Grady on sleep and nap times. So he'd be cranky (because he hadn't slept) and we'd end up taking multiple walks around the neighborhood because he'd only be at peace outside.
But imagine what they do at daycare centers all day, and that's pretty much my life. Without the other kids.
