Sports Stories that Make Me Laugh
The Viking's fired Brad Childress today. Which I find high-larious. You may or may not know this, but Brad Childress picked up Randy Moss early in the season from the Patriots when Bilichick dumped him. They had him for three games before Childress unceremoniously CUT him. It was crazy. So crazy in fact, that I called my husband and said, "Dude, the Vikings CUT Randy Moss." To which he repeatedly said, No. Not possible. And then asked, "What does cut mean to you?" And I said, "CUT! Like CUT. Off the Team. Released from contract. No longer playing. Available for pick up."
He could not believe he'd been scooped by me! It was a proud moment.
But I find it hillarious that the Vikings fired Childress. I thought he would have been fired earlier, but, I guess they held out and then when they went 3-7 they thought they had nothing else to lose.
Another story I find hillarious, is the Dallas Cowboys. It would have made me happy for them to lose on Sunday, but they won, bringing them to 3-7, which is PITIFUL. Their win on Sunday against the Detroit Lions (who are now 2-8, if that tells you anything about the caliber of team that Dallas was able to beat) was their first home win of the season.
It makes me laugh that the year the Super Bowl is going to be in Dallas (wont be leaving my house THAT weekend), and the year that the Dallas Cowboys were supposed to be so awesome and go all the way, they really tank. And Tony Romo gets hurt, they fire their coach, etc. Jerry is thwarted again. Which is really all it's about for me.
Also, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. Is anyone really shocked they are getting divorced? Really? Funny thing though, Tony Parker supposedly cheated (or at least flirted) on Eva with his teammates wife. Big no no. He's a tool. But, I'm sure she's a peach. You know, the unselfish completely giving actress type. Oh yeah, those are a dime a dozen. (ROLLS EYES).
