Adventures in Sewing: Gift Bags

We made a gift bag for my cousin Meryl's shower gifts out of some peapod fabric, and mom and I thought they were so wonderful, that I came home and made some more. I haven't got rope (which is what the closure really needs) but I had twine lying around so I used it instead. This particular bag I think is going to be a toy bag for Grady's belongings. But it would really be useful for just about anything.

I think I'm going to make some pretty bags for some wonderful Christmas presents, but we'll see what happens.

The pattern for this came from HERE. But we lined ours and the size was made to fit the particular gifts we were giving away. The bag I made is just two fat quarters that I had lying around.
