Adventures in Sewing: Baby Gifts

So I actually made these several weeks (months?) ago but as they were gifts I didn't want to post right away. The first set (on the left) was really more about me practicing than anything else. It includes a swaddling blanket, burp cloth, bib and tag crinkle toy. I made two sets, one for our good friends in Chicago who are expecting in March, and one for our cousins who are expecting in February! Both are expecting boys.

The set on the right was made for a shower gift for my cousin Meryl. I loved the animal print fabric so I made a taggie blanket, play mat THING (Grady loves his so it has to be okay). Then I made the travel wipes case, two burp cloths (not pictured), and a diaper change mat (not pictured - but I used THIS pattern).
I hope the two babies in question get use out of them!  I had a great time making them!

Tee-hee--I think we will. The taggie mat already has place of pride in the nursery. I love the print!
