Adventures in Sewing: Pillow / Mattress Thingie

So I had left over fabric from a sling that my good friend Emily made and I didn't know what to do with it. I made something similar to this for something else (you'll see that later) and I thought it was useful.  We'll see if Grady thinks so.

It would really be most ideal for a tummy time mat.  But we're past that stage.  Now he rolls one way and the other and is all over my living room floor.  He only gets stuck on his tummy when he gets wore out.

Anyway, but what I thought I would use it for, since the fabric isn't really fluffy or bunchy, it could be extra padding for his pack and play, and maybe it would make it more comfortable, and maybe, just maybe, he'd sleep in it for longer than 45 minutes.

Either way, I love the fabric!  So cute.
