Yet Another Sleep Question
So, when you put your kid to sleep, you're not supposed to go back in to him until he's fallen asleep. But what happens if he wakes up 20 or so minutes later?
Here's what happens to me. I go in there 20 or so minutes later, pick him up, and poor thing lets out a really big burp, and sometimes spits up on me. He comes by his reflux honestly (I was terrible), and I've let him cry before and when I do finally go in there he's covered in his own yuck.
And before you say it, I do burp him regularly during feedings. Three and four times even. I hold him upright afterwards until he's burped and even still, he can wake up 20 minutes or so later and need to be burped again.
Where is the book that covers what to do with sleep training and this issue?
My other problem. Allergies / congestion. This is becoming a problem too. Sometimes he cries because he can't breathe well through his nose. So I have to clean it out and then put him back down and he'll sleep. Now, I'm trying to make sure his pathways are clear BEFORE bedtime to help avoid this. But where's the book that covers what to do with sleep training and this issue?
Next ... excemza. This one is tragic. He gets this naturally too. From me. And it's itchy and awful. And we do lotion every night and during the day to help him keep the itchies at bay. But where's the book that covers what to do with sleep training and this issue?
Actually, the last two are covered in the book that the doc recommended.
