Mexico is offering - stop, I shouldn't say Mexico. It's a Mexican Drug Cartel. Big difference - A Mexican drug cartel is offering a $1M reward for anyone that assasinates Sheriff Joe.
I do not understand this Arizona, crazy illegal immigration debate. So Arizona wants it's police officers to enforce the federal law that the federal government doesn't have the means or (more accurately) the will to enforce. And now the federal government is sueing Arizona? How is this possible? I saw Rick Sanchez on CNN yesterday going off on an Arizona State Rep about how great illegals are for this country and how can he just be so mean?
They are here ILLEGALLY. I don't understand. Even if they are nice people, who want to do no harm, that just want away from horrible violence that is Mexico. They are here ILLEGALLY and therefore they are criminals. Maybe not murder type criminals. But criminals none the less. So we should not punish them for their crime ... why?
Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel need to be prosecuted, ala Martha Stewart. It's a white coller crime, tax evasion, but it nailed Al Capone it should nail them. Okay - now Maxine is being investigated for conflict of interests in money she requested for a bank that her husband worked with / for. So maybe the tax evasion thing doesn't fit for her.
And Dems aren't the only ones with issues. John Ensign needs someone to come knock on his door too.
In sports ... something I have not talked about yet this season. Mostly because the Astros are close to being the worst team in baseball. They are way below 500, and 13.5 games off the lead in the NL Central.
But this season just keeps getting sadder and sadder. They traded Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman. Obviously these are salary dumps as they can't fill the stadium (I got an email that said tickets for the remainder of the year are on sale for 1/2 off) nd stand no shot of winning anything. But it's just so sad. Hopefully those prospects pan out.
Luckily, we live in Dallas and it's fairly easy to get behind Rangers baseball this year, who are the 4th best team in baseball, and are leading their division handily. Granted, as Lewis and I said last night, the Rangers have such an easy division. There are 4 teams. So ... they just have fewer teams to beat than say the Astros, who have 6.
Next week we're going to the Rangers v. Yankees with my cousins! Yippee! And the following day Lewis and they are going to the house that Jerry built to see the Cowboys pre-season game against the Raiders.
And Mom comes tomorrow. Brian's surgery is Friday, and he'll spend some time in Dallas before heading off to Louisville Busy busy!
