Dear Pregnancy,

I am very glad you are almost over.  But I have to say, you have not been that unpleasant.  I did not have morning sickness, nausea, dizziness, any wierd cravings, or really anything like that.  I did have a food aversion to meat for a time.  And I really loved veggies for a while.  But nothing strange.  No pickles and ice cream.  Though, for the record, I would like that combination non-pregnant.

My back has not hurt that much.  My feet have not swollen.  I have gotten a little chubby in the face in the last month or so, but that's okay.  My least favorite symptom has been the swelling in my fingers.  I can not wear my wedding rings.  This is a daily sadness for me.  Lewis did buy me a silver band for my birthday, just so I could wear something.  It's an 8.  My wedding ring is a 5.5.  Lewis's wedding band is an 8.  I have man fingers!

I haven't rushed to the bathroom.  Though I have felt baby kicking around and exerting pressure from time to time.  I haven't had any sugar problems or weight gain issues.  Though I did have a few months where I gained much more than others.  But all in all, I'd say my weight gain this pregnancy has been okay.  I could have gained less ... but I could have gained a LOT more.

I do get tired quickly, here towards the end.  I do run out of stamina.  I have had a nesting fetish where everything MUST be put away and clean.

All in all - there have been no problems with this pregnancy.  I have had two issues (concerns?) that caused me to call the doctors office.  Both were here towards the end - mostly because at this stage I would rather be safe than sorry.  Both were ruled normal, that the baby is happy as a clam (to quote the nurses).

I can not complain about this pregnancy.  Though I do believe that most complaining comes in this last month, when it is the most uncomfortable, when the anticipation is at it's highest.  I have the strangest mixture of fear, excitement, dread, happiness, sadness, and just overall anxiety and complete feeling of being overwhelmed going on right now.  My entire life is about to change, probably in less than 14 days.  How amazing is that?

We go forward.  Or we stop.
