Baby Mine
Yesterday, we toured the hospital. Today I pre-registered online and signed up for our birthing classes, lactation classes, and the baby care and infant CPR classes. I'm a few days shy of my third trimester.
We've painted the nursery (Rapture Blue - the bottom one).
We have the crib picked out. The registries are done. The baby bedding is selected. When all of this comes together, I will photograph it and let you know. But for now, there's still a tarp on the nursery floor and tape protecting the wainscotting (I'm debating second coat - but I hesitate because I'm afraid it'll make it too dark).
We have the car seat picked out. So that gets the baby home from the hospital. No idea what to do once we get him home, or anything. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
But with all this done, which sounds like a lot when I list it (which is part of the reason I'm listing it), I still feel like I have absolutely nothing accomplished and this child is going to push into this world and I'll have nothing for him.
I did make one important decision. In April, before he gets here, I'm going to the spa and getting the full treatment. Nails, massage, everything. A little pampering. It'll be like my birth present for the baby, a happy mommy who has her toe nails painted for delivery. At a time when she will be the least able to reach them.
I make myself laugh.

btw, bring a towel/extra baby blanket to the hospital to roll and put around his head. we learned that the little carseat insert was not enough. and mitch's head was bent all funny by the time we got home from the 20-minute drive. we felt like the worse parents ever!
making progress! you deserve it momma! i bet you could find some good deals on pregnancy massages if you start to have a sore back!
