You know what. I don't rightly care about a "wave of anti-Muslim sentiment."
And no, all Muslims don't kill people. But the Homeland Security Secretary would do better to try and prevent acts like the Fort Hood tragedy than go around trying to stop people from being angry about it happening.
And one wonders, if the CIA hadn't been so concerned about being politically correct or angering a religious group, if this would have happened at all. They did know he was contacting Al Qaeda. And did the Army know?
And you know what ... I'm irritated that President Obama didn't rush out to see the wounded. I'm irritated that his remarks on the tragedy were like an after-thought to something else he was doing that day. It's always the same. They go through the nomination process talking about military families and how we must support them, and oh look President Bush doesn't support them. Well President Bush went to the hospital to visit the injured without a single camera present. Because he cares about the individuals there more than he does the press knowing he was there. President Obama will be speaking at the Memorial. Which is appropriate. But I'm still irritated.
I found this via Powerline: Obama doesn't "get" the military he commands. Read the whole thing. She is the wife of a Marine who is deployed in Afghanistan.
