A little Bean Town for you...

So the husband and I lived in Boston from 2003 till 2006, roughly. Give or take some months. He is still with the company that employed him there, so we have a lot of dear friends from that area. One such couple got married this past weekend. Not one to pass an opportunity to visit Boston in the summer, we made a mini break out of it and flew up Wednesday night and spent Thur-Sun downtown!

We did the whole bit, which was funny, because we didn't do much of the touristy stuff when we lived here. I'd seen a bunch of it as a kid, but never as an adult. So we went to the Charles and the park there, we did Boston Common, Newbury Street, the Copley, Fanhueil Hall, Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail, North End, Mike's Pastries, Bunker Hill, USS Constitution ... we saw it all.

I love that stuff. We also went to a Sox game. Which was so fun too. Fenway is just a blast and it's a great way to spend an evening.

It reminded me of our trip to Paris last fall, with the urban setting, the restaurants, the taxi's, the subway ... only everyone spoke English!

The wedding was beautiful ... they got married at historic St. Stephen's church and the reception was on the harbor. It was beautiful, tasteful, elegant, classy ... all greatness.

More pictures were HERE. But I took like 400 all in so this is only a smattering. :)

Happy Independence Day everyone. I hope you had a wonderful holiday celebrating our freedom!
