Let Freedom Tweet!
I love twitter. I'm not even really sure why. I think it appeases the short attention span in me. I can see, relatively quickly, what's going on with anyone that I'm following, in 60 seconds or less. And it puts me closer to those that I admire. Jon Favreau, for instance, the dude that makes Ironman and all that greatness (my friends now refuse to mention Ironman in my presence, because they know at least a 15 minute monologue will ensue about how awesome it is, my Bluray player, and the amazingness of the United States Air Force and my Daddy), tweets about filming and how Gweneth is doing and how awesome its all turning out. He tweeted when they went to Edwards AFB to film at my Dad's building and how awesome that all was.
Oh yeah, my mom got her picture taken with Robert Downey Jr. And she said he was awesome. And nice. And kept his arm around her shoulders for a really long time.
:)
But now, I love twitter because of Iran and the amazing bravery that their oppressed people are showing in the face of ... well oppression and a crap election. If you want to know more about how it's working, and why the Mullah's have been able to block cell phones, videos, etc, but they have can't stop twitter .... read THIS.
Really ... Let Freedom Tweet.
And I understand why the President is saying he wants to stay out of it, and that maybe either candidate for Iran doesn't make a lot of difference to the international people that have to negotiate with them. And I know the people that voted for him probably like it that way. So that's okay.
But for me, I like the United States of America that stands up for liberty and freedom and encourages all peoples to fight for their inaliable human rights. Because freedom is the right of all people, everywhere, no matter what religion, race, gender or creed.
